Instead of using a typical router, I use a Debian host as a firewall.

They provide ipv6 iptables setup (hint, no NAT needed!) as well as bind9
config generator that uses the radvd (the announcement protocol broadcast
by routers for autoconfiguration) to renumber the network in case the
prefix changes.
