IMO a must have list would be: 1) USB port power supply -- after trying several 5V 1A power supplies and having many issues I ended up with this one, from adafruit, which has been working 100% so far: http://www.adafruit.com/products/501 "To avoid this problem, we made the adapter 5.25V. This is because the USB power specification allows up to 5.25V, and its safe for all 5V electronics, and has the benefit of making up for any loss due to thin USB cables." 2) Enclosure - I've got this one: http://www.adafruit.com/products/859 but you can find chepear ones at http://dx.com 3) Powered USB Hub - I'm happy with this one: http://dx.com/p/7-ports-powered-usb-hub-678 which gives me 2A total for 7 ports. Finally, not a must have in case you have ethernet, this ultra-mini-nano-whatever wifi adapter is well supported: http://dx.com/p/ultra-mini-nano-usb-2-0-802-11n-150mbps-wifi-wlan-wireless-network-adapter-48166 Regards, -- tiago _______________________________________________ mlug mailing list [email protected] https://listes.koumbit.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-listserv.mlug.ca
