You may want to try http://www.sysresccd.org/SystemRescueCd_Homepage See System Tools GRUB "Multi Bootloaders Install or restore bootloader. If Microsoft Windows removed a multi bootloader, run it from this CD, and reinstall it."
It is probably just a windows install overwriting grub (as usual.)
