Hey Jeremy
It's been a while are you still in Verdun?
I am no expert but I've set up a few people on Ubuntu Studio. One a
Windows user has since migrated himself to AV Linux. It was an
interesting experience setting him up. The tools in Window look so much
better but he was ecstatic having only a subset of the functionality
with no latency.
I just set up my daughter on Ubuntu Studio using a Focusrite Scarlett
2i4 for sound capture. It is pretty amazing. I usually use an old Tascam
DP-01FX for capture and then just import to U-Studio for mixing. I do
from time to time capture directly to U-Studio if I want to pump my old
Korg MS-20 through super looper or something like that. I would be
happy to host a Linux music geek get together at some point. If there is
interest. I'm PSC.
Cheers
Alan

Hi Alan,
I've done some, but not very recently. Used Ubu Studio mostly.
However, I've set up JACK on many systems and played with most of the
bigger apps. Certainly can't teach much but would be interested in
messing around with it more.

Hello
Been a long time since I've posted. I'm just wondering if there are
any other list members that are making music on Linux( Ubuntu studio,
AV Linux, KXStudio etc). If so is there interest in getting together
at some point to trade tips and tricks, compare setups etc..
Cheers
Alan
