Hi Tom, My understanding of the current state of the tailc patch is that it needs someone to care for it - that broadly the position is that it could be officially adopted if there was sufficient community support, but that community members would have to demonstrate some skin in the game by keeping the patch current and canvassing support.
John: Is that a reasonably accurate representation of the state of play with tailc? With my LJC hat on, once the current flurry of activity has died down a bit, encouraging and supporting interested LJC members in this kind of endeavour is very much something we want to do more of, and we've had the early stages of discussions about how we might try to do just that.
