OK! I got it to work. Thank you, Peter and Oisín.

I moved the file into my .mnemosyne folder. I'm not sure why this
worked.

One more thing: my reviews seem remarkably less random now that I've
upgraded to version 1.1.1. Is this intentional, in that it helps the
memorization process? If not, and it is deleterious, is there a fix?
