Hi,

The way it is happening now is the standard way for (Python) unix programs. I 
don't think it's Mnemosyne task to try and change that default procedure :-)

BTW, many distributions package Mnemosyne, so beginning Linux users can use 
the install and uninstall routines of the package manager of their 
distribution.
