I tried the Brain Workshop. It reminds me of a game on the BBC Model
B.

I think there was a 5x5 grid of identical, featureless squares. A
random square would open to show, for example, Mickey Mouse. The
square would close, and a different random square would open.

If an opened square was identical to a previously opened square, you
had to point at the previously opened square with the mouse. This
caused both squares to be removed from the grid.

I seem to remember that the kids never got a chance to play, because
adults were queuing up :)
