I did not write the pdb import machinery, and I thought it generated the standard Mnemosyne xml files. Apparently smconv.pl generates some special intermediate xml, different from the Mnemosyne xml format. So I'm afraid the original author of the importer will have to have a look at it. Problem is that I don't know how active he still is at the moment. I'll mail him, though.
