The program itself is not stored in the .mnemosyne folder, so you should be able to install whatever version of mnemosyne on your new computer, run it once (so it creates a new .mnemosyne folder so you're 100% sure you're looking in the right spot), then replace everything in that folder with the contents of your old one.
Please note that you should NEVER DELETE YOUR OLD STUFF! This is for backup purposes, so you don't lose anything if something goes awry. You can simply start over and try again.
