If I copy and paste some unicode from my deck in the search box, it seems to 
work fine.

Perhaps there is an issue here with the input method on your side, which has 
changed since you first entered the card?

Anyhow, since I'll soon start on the 'edit deck' dialog for 2.x, I'm afraid I 
won't bring out any new 1.x releases.
