I have been using mnemosyne to learn Biblical Greek vocabulary and am so impressed that I want to create cards for Biblical Hebrew. However, I have found that the Hebrew vowel points are translated slightly: vowel points below the line are translated between half a character and a whole character to the left, and those above the line are translated slightly to the right. The result isn't just unsightly - it can result in the appearance of a wrong spelling.
I have tried different fonts, but the problem is not font specific. (My input method is perhaps a bit convoluted: I prepare the Hebrew input using Office Word, and then cut and past into the mnemosyne card creator. I then save the cards as XML. I tried saving the Word document as TXT but mnemosyne wouldn't read the resulting file.) Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a fix?
