I agree that this is an issue for the mobile clients. It bothers me
too, and I've had one other request for the possibility of a darker
display.

This sounds a bit tricky to me.

This may be the better solution.

I've just finished implementing such a solution for Mnemododo (an
Android client). There will be three screen modes:
    Dark            white text on black background
    Dim             white text on a dark gray background
    Light           black text on a white background

This feature will be available in the next release by long pressing on
the number of cards remaining field (unfortunately detecting long
presses on the card display is not reliable).

I guess I could implement something similar for Mnemojojo. It's just a
question of finding the time. I'll see what I can do.
