I forgot to mention:

   Fastformat        Expands simple text markup into html tags, e.g.
                     {adj.} to <i>adj.</i>.

This plugin works under both Mnemosyne, where it is applied just
before a card is displayed, and Mnemogogo, where it is applied at
export.
