Hello All, Hello Peter, So I followed you advice and upgraded to V2 (Beta9). I am generally satisfied with it, I have not yet taken advantage of most of the improvements.
I however see a major issue: I can say sounds do work...: except there has been a change over V1 which is rather problematic (clearly so for Chinese, and possibly for other languages). If I place two sounds in a file, they now play simultaneously, whereas they used to play in sequence. It's a clear problem with Chinese. Indeed, a two syllable Chinese word is built, written and pronounced as a sequence of two individual words. Let's take the often used 中 = "central" and 国 = "country" which, when assembled, make 中国 = "China". A Chinese learner (I for one!) will typically create a card for "central" with writing and pronunciation, and then a card with "country" with writing and pronunciation, and will then create "China" with the writing and pronunciation files that are used to create the cards of each individual word. But the sounds do not nicely play in sequence, like they used to in V1 (sometimes...). In the same fashion that a two picture card shows the pictures sitting next to one another, and not on top of each other, sound files should play in sequence and not simulteanously (or there could be a parameter to choose between both options, as there may be other situations where one needs just the opposite I suppose...) And a minor issue: A two image card places the cards next to oneanother, and the alignement is made on the bottom end of the picture whereas it used to be made along the top end. So all the well aligned two picture files I built are no longer flush (at the top) ...and are a bit of a pain to read. I can mail you an example if needed. Thanks for your suggestions.
