Greetings, In this case, it appears that you simply downloaded the file twice; Safari will automatically add a -1 upon the second download because it is impossible to save two files with the same name.
When you say you are attempting to launch the program on a new MacBook Air, which version of OS X are you using? (To check, click the Apple in the upper left corner of the screen and choose "About this Mac." The version number will be displayed below "Mac OS X.")
