I haven't seen this request anywhere - I've been using and recommending Mnemosyne for a couple years, and have 2600 cards now on a variety of subjects. My problem is that as I'm reviewing, context switches madly around with each card - I might review one vocabulary card, then one geography card, then a psychology card, then review one line from a quote.
In the Settings dropdown that says "Review memorized cards", can a third option be added? In addition to "most urgent first" and "in random order", "order by tag" or "order by primary tag" would be extremely useful. That way instead of taking an extra second with each card to determine the context, I could do all my Spanish review first, then all my "business contacts" review, etc. I don't think it would be necessary to select a secondary sort mechanism - most urgent first would be a fine secondary sort mechanism. This would just save me a lot of time and effort in studying when you add up the time I'm spending each day to review 40-60 cards.
