Have you tried collecting answer/response times?

I think this would differentiate recalling answers vs deriving the answer.  For 
example 8*8 and 8^2 are the same /logical/ operation, but translating n^2 to 
n*n requires 2 additional computational steps.

Also, have you tried finding correlations based on string size? The longer the 
answer, the more likely that the user is forgetting only PART of the answer.

Forgive me if this has already been asked, I didn't find anything when I 
searched the archives.
