Gnome, Thank you for your help! After sleeping on the problem, this morning I tried right-clicking on the Mnemosyne icon on my desktop and choosing the "Troubleshoot compatibility" option on the pull-down menu. This alone sorted out most of the problem for me, and I'm now running on v2.2.1. Thanks again!
