Hi,

Note that keeping two separate databases is not recommended, amongst other for
this reason. The option to activate a subset of cards within the same database
is also much more flexible.

You could try with using symlinks on your filesystem, but then be sure never to
use the option to delete unused media files.

Cheers,

Peter

Subject: [mnemosyne-proj-users] Is it possible to change the media folder
location of a database?

Is it possible to change the media folder location of a database?

I have two databases which use the same media files (images and sounds) but I
am forced by Mnemosyne to keep 2 different copies of each. To keep everything
in sync I have an additional folder called Primary_media - thus a total of 3
folders each containing the same media files. One folder for each database and
a primary one to which I can make changes and then have it auto sync to the
other two media folders.

1. DatabaseA.db_media folder <---- Database A
2. DatabaseB.db_media folder <---- Database B
3. Primary_media folder

I would like to know if I can just have a single Primary_media folder and have
the 2 databases reference this folder.

Thanks
