As you've noticed, many things have changed. E.g., now there's a keyboard shortcut so that people can select an initial grade when adding cards. I cannot turn off this feature without upsetting people who have been using it since 2012 :-) But can I suggest that you work with different keyboard layouts in Windows? Switching between keyboard layouts can be done with a keypress as well, and then keypresses will be interpreted as happening on that new layout. In terms of total number of keypresses required to input a certain character, it should be roughly equivalent to Alt+0xxxx method, but obviously requires you to relearn some things. For whatever reason, this did not happen in version 1.1; there, the initial-grade buttons did not react while entering an Alt-code. Does anyone know a workaround for this? As I said, I guess it's not really a big deal, but it is a bit disruptive until I've got used to the change...
