this error occured less and less to me, before installing the latest
pre-release, so it might just be a coincidence, but the sync error,
which Daniel Schmidt and me were experiencing, might be fixed.
Concerning the other error:
I can reproduce the error. It seems to be bound to a set of cards. I'll
send you a download link to the database in private (database copied
from my smartphone).

I gave the below Mnemosyne version a go.
The sync failed again, but I get a different error message "too
many arguments in SQL...". See screenshots attached to this message.
The sync failed after receiving the log entries. When I used the
prior Mnemosyne version, it always failed while receiving the log
files. So, this is the difference.
Before starting the sync I have added quite a few tags, and
changed one tag from the tree menu (double-click on the tag name
and afterwards I hit enter, when finished). I also have added a
few cards.
