Hello Peter,
*yes, I can reproduce the error reliably. I get this error
**_every_**time, when I select one specific card set on my smartphone. *
I have tried some things to find the error's cause:
What I have tried just some minutes ago, is to create a new card set
that is similar to the card set, which is having the errors. I can
reproduce the error with this card set too.
The error also occurs, when I create a card set from all my cards.
It might be possible to narrow the error down to one specific tag or
even card. But it might take some time, because of all those tags.
When I add the tag called "Deutsch" to one of my card sets, I get the
error too. There are 19 cards inside this set. Those cards have a lot of
brackets in the question and answer fields.
Weird, if I create a card set with only the cards having the "Deutsch"
tag, I don't get an error.
When I add any tag to the card set "20200618-Turkish and Technology", I
get this error.
By the way it is reproduce-able on the PC too. Yey! xD Since it is an
SQL error this makes sense.
If I add the "Physics" tag to the "Only Deutsch" card set, which I
created from the "Deutsch" tag. I don't get the error.
So the error is inside the "20200618-Turkish and Technology" card set,
even though, this card set does not produce this error itself.
I have added the "PGRE" tag to the "20200618-Turkish and Technology"
card set. The result is the SQL error.
I have added the "s" tag, which contains only 1 "front to back - back to
front" card, to the "20200618-Turkish and Technology" card set. The
result is the SQL error.
Again, if I create a card set with only the cards having the "s" tag, I
don't get an error.
*Summary:*
*The error seems to be introduced into card sets while creating card
sets from specific card sets (e.g. from "20200618-Turkish and
Technology"), which do _not_ need to produce the error themselves. *
Maybe you can create a debug version of Mnemosyne, that stores SQL log
messages? And maybe some other logs, that you create?
Could you reproduce the error with the database, I sent you, too?
Have a good night!
Cheers,
Abakus

Is this something you can reproduce reliably? I've tried to figure out
where this could come from, but without success. In any case, I've
added more debug information collection.
Cheers,
Peter

Hi Peter,
I gave the below Mnemosyne version a go.
The sync failed again, but I get a different error message "too many arguments in
SQL...". See screenshots attached to this message.
The sync failed after receiving the log entries. When I used the prior
Mnemosyne version, it always failed while receiving the log files. So, this is
the difference.
Before starting the sync I have added quite a few tags, and changed one tag
from the tree menu (double-click on the tag name and afterwards I hit enter,
when finished). I also have added a few cards.
Happy debugging! :)
Cheers,

There's a new version linked here:

Please give it go.
