"First run" in our context currently refers to the slides that show only the first time you run Fennec. Onboarding is a continuing experience – we can introduce features to the user that they may not have seen before (e.g. if the user hasn't pressed the tabs tray button after seeing it 100 times, maybe we can display a tooltip – a "contextual hint" in our context – to introduce the user). It's important to note that the each part of the onboarding experience shouldn't stand on its own. For example, we can do the tabs tray tooltip or we can do a tabs tray first run slide, but should we do both? How might that affect the user? Will they be annoyed? When we add features to onboarding, we should look at what's already there and how we may need to alter it to provide the best experience. > > You might have more luck of creating mindshare by creating a wiki page > where you describe your philosophy, with importance, reasons, dos and > don'ts etc..
