Hi 1 We are heavily dependent on screen reader for us to be able to use the device 2 Stock rom uses the same interface by Google to make the Talkback, meaning it is optimised for it. 3 Non stock rom uses customisation and the bigger calamity is the the blind user because it is done with visual appeal and they are by and large unaware of access technology users. 4 Things like battery backup can be dealt with power banks etc. What we need is a device which is optimised for our use. Therefore stock rom is preffered. Finally on Stock Rom's regular updates are available and you may not get any upgrades from Custom ROM products.
