I recall that there are problems with per-app mappings.  Your mileage may
vary.

Could you possibly either just put MG in the root of each application and do
away with mappings?  (I like this because MG can be in source control and
everyone always has the save version.)

Alternatively, could you create two CF isntances?  One for 1.1 and one for 2
(and maybe one for 3?)
