I'd be interested in helping to develop a CF9 ORM adapter for MG. I'm pretty swamped right now, but I am deep into the CF9 ORM stuff, and also poked around the ORM adapter stuff with MG, so I'd be happy to contribute. I'll have more availability in November.
I imagine that this is something the MG folks would like to have available when CF9 ships, so maybe someone's already working on it. If not, let me know when you want to get started and we'll take it from there.
