Hello, I have a Toby L201 modem on an ARM board running Ubuntu 18.04, Modem manager version 1.10.6.
My modem seems to be working normally though the "--simple-connect" command produces an error. Can someone help me understand to me how to get --simple-connect working? Here's some output for more clarity on what's occurring. Thanks in advance. root@bionic-armhf:~# mmcli -m 0 -------------------------------- General | dbus path: /org/freedesktop/ModemManager1/Modem/0 | device id: abe45ff8bcc876b5ce19e4ddeb526f64d4132852 -------------------------------- Hardware | manufacturer: u-blox | model: TOBY-L201 | firmware revision: 09.93 | supported: gsm-umts, lte | current: gsm-umts, lte | equipment id: 358502060981282 -------------------------------- System | device: /sys/devices/soc0/soc/2100000.aips-bus/2184200.usb/ci_hdrc.1/usb1/1-1/1-1.4 | drivers: cdc_acm, rndis_host | plugin: u-blox | primary port: ttyACM0 | ports: ttyACM0 (at), usb0 (net) -------------------------------- Status | unlock retries: sim-pin (3), sim-pin2 (3), sim-puk (10), sim-puk2 (10) | state: disabled | power state: on | signal quality: 0% (cached) -------------------------------- Modes | supported: allowed: 3g; preferred: none | allowed: 4g; preferred: none | allowed: 3g, 4g; preferred: none | allowed: 3g, 4g; preferred: 3g | allowed: 3g, 4g; preferred: 4g | current: allowed: 2g, 3g, 4g; preferred: 4g -------------------------------- Bands | supported: utran-1, utran-3, utran-4, utran-6, utran-5, utran-8, | utran-2, utran-7, eutran-1, eutran-2, eutran-3, eutran-4, eutran-5, | eutran-7, eutran-8, eutran-11, eutran-13, eutran-17, eutran-20, | utran-11 -------------------------------- IP | supported: ipv4, ipv6, ipv4v6 -------------------------------- 3GPP | imei: 358502060981282 -------------------------------- 3GPP EPS | ue mode of operation: csps-2 -------------------------------- SIM | dbus path: /org/freedesktop/ModemManager1/SIM/0 root@bionic-armhf:~# root@bionic-armhf:~# mmcli -m 0 --enable successfully enabled the modem root@bionic-armhf:~# mmcli -m 0 --simple-connect="apn=m2m.com.attz" error: couldn't connect the modem: 'GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.ModemManager1.Error.MobileEquipment.Unknown: Unknown error' root@bionic-armhf:~# mmcli -m 0 -------------------------------- General | dbus path: /org/freedesktop/ModemManager1/Modem/0 | device id: abe45ff8bcc876b5ce19e4ddeb526f64d4132852 -------------------------------- Hardware | manufacturer: u-blox | model: TOBY-L201 | firmware revision: 09.93 | supported: gsm-umts, lte | current: gsm-umts, lte | equipment id: 358502060981282 -------------------------------- System | device: /sys/devices/soc0/soc/2100000.aips-bus/2184200.usb/ci_hdrc.1/usb1/1-1/1-1.4 | drivers: cdc_acm, rndis_host | plugin: u-blox | primary port: ttyACM0 | ports: ttyACM0 (at), usb0 (net) -------------------------------- Status | unlock retries: sim-pin (3), sim-pin2 (3), sim-puk (10), sim-puk2 (10) | state: registered | power state: on | access tech: lte | signal quality: 80% (recent) -------------------------------- Modes | supported: allowed: 3g; preferred: none | allowed: 4g; preferred: none | allowed: 3g, 4g; preferred: none | allowed: 3g, 4g; preferred: 3g | allowed: 3g, 4g; preferred: 4g | current: allowed: 2g, 3g, 4g; preferred: 4g -------------------------------- Bands | supported: utran-1, utran-3, utran-4, utran-6, utran-5, utran-8, | utran-2, utran-7, eutran-1, eutran-2, eutran-3, eutran-4, eutran-5, | eutran-7, eutran-8, eutran-11, eutran-13, eutran-17, eutran-20, | utran-11 -------------------------------- IP | supported: ipv4, ipv6, ipv4v6 -------------------------------- 3GPP | imei: 358502060981282 | operator id: 310410 | operator name: AT&T | registration: home -------------------------------- 3GPP EPS | ue mode of operation: csps-2 -------------------------------- SIM | dbus path: /org/freedesktop/ModemManager1/SIM/0 -------------------------------- Bearer | dbus path: /org/freedesktop/ModemManager1/Bearer/0 Best regards, Cale Collins Field Applications Engineer Gateworks Corporation (805)781-2000 x37 3026 S.
