Old quoted parts of mails are often not displayed by the software, mobile devices only have small screens that make bottom posting impractical, and copy/cut/paste functions are so tedious to use for modern written communication that you can't blame people for not removing quoted materials anymore. We are talking about a totally different way of using communicating devices so it is about time to at least understand what is going on on the ground so as to not make unrealistic demands.
