Hi :) Perhaps he's on holiday or something. People do drift out sometimes but then maybe reappear later on. Don't worry about it and don't feel hurt by it either. There are shed loads of reasons why it might have happened and only a very few of those might have anything to do with you personally and pretty much all of those can be written off as his loss. New people join in anyway so don't worry
