<< So what am i saying here? I have no idea, as I look back at what i just
wrote. I guess what Im trying to tell you is that if someone posts
something nonMM, live with it. Dont condemn and criticize, because
somewhere out there, a list member might be very interested. they could
send the poster a private email and from there, a band could be formed.
isnt that what this internet is about? communication? anyhow, i've found
that its the nontopic posts that are the most interesting and raise
interesting questions about concepts - they manage to go beyond the "whats
your favorite song?" spiel that brings down so many lists and thats what
 happens on this list. >>

Maria is wise, fellow mm devotees. i mostly lurk on this list-something that i
don't do on the other lists i'm on(wedding present/GBV). i'd be much more
interested in finding out what modest mouse listees do beyond telling me 'your
favorite song'.

for example, what are your top ten non-mouse related albums of the year?
belle & sebastian top my list-love that pink kross cd as well.

anybody else still buy singles? i'm obsessed with them and there are hundreds
of great obscure lo-fi tunes coming out of the british isles. check out "paper
eyes" by the llama farmers or "my own private patrick swayze" by the male
nurse.

whaddya all do? i'm a journalist living in los angeles. i've got a fourteen-
month old daughter who loves the "broke" 7-inch on sub pop. actually, she
loves to destroy the packaging(i've gone through three copies) as much as
listen to the songs.

it's great reading about you folks that do zines. what about general release
rags? i sure dig popwatch, chickfactor and the big takeover. for zines, read
my friend Farmer P.'s zine FRESH COW PIE-he's got some cool ass tastebuds and
he lives in North Dakota, for chrissakes!

so anybody got any opinions? let's discuss.

cheers,
ypc(your pal clem)
