in re to the bitter email...good riddance.

otherwise, i think non-mm discussion is cool. otherwise, i wouldn't
probably hear about most of the bands in the world. college has managed
to isolate me from nearly every non-class related event.

i'm a sophomore at the university of iowa majoring in nothing-thought i
was going to be communications, but i took a creative writing class and
my love of writing resurfaced so i'm borderline english/communications.
but who really knows. i used to work as music director for a free radio
station, but we've since deconstructed. now i've got a red-eye shift at
the college station from 4-7am every other tuesday morning. it's not as
much fun or freedom as i had at the free radio station, but i love being a
dj, so it's worth waking up at 3:30 in the morning. my goal is to have a
specialty show starting this summer so i can play only indie, noise,
really obscure(i don't know exactly what would qualify as really
obscure...), and local bands-no more ass techno or hip-hop. (i like
these two genres, but some of it has the tendency to suck)

i'm frightening my sororitywhore neighbors with the shadow ring's "hold
onto id" album at the moment.

my ideal mm show would open with spoon and neutral milk hotel...and they
can all play whatever they like and i'll be happy.

if i had money, i'd buy lotsa singles, but i'm broke so that's out of the
question. i also like to buy tapes by small indie labels.

enough about me...oh yeah, and i like ellipses :P
