Wow, what an uneccessarily bitter post! if you were one of the 4
girls that were dancing in the front, and are one of the ones from
the left that kept elbowing me in the head, kicking my ankles, and
yelling in my ear, then thanks, you ruined my first modest mouse
show. The ones that I'm thinking about were 2 tall girls and a big
guy who were obviously enjoying themselves, but half the time weren't
even paying attention to the band, such as during Cowboy Dan when
they were so loud I could barely hear the band, and I felt like I was
at a frat party with a MM CD on in the backround.
To respond further to yer post, I have to say that I really
liked LAL, and got to see them the next night too, and they certainly
turn the rock out. I too thought it woulda been nice to hear head
south, as well as all night diner, but broke rocked my world. The
drummer is definitly the shit, but I felt a little robbed on
tundra/desert.. it just was kinda flat. The new songs were great
(especially the opener and one towards the end) and it was cool how
they kept returning to Breakthrough over and over, and the added
verses to many favorites.
Although I know what you mean by the teeny-bopper population,
give them a little bit of a break. I'd prefer to have girls cooing
over Issac(kinda cause I look a bit like him, but that's a diff.
story) than drunk chicks yelling about how much they don't give a
shit about anyone else and how they just "love the band" so much, yet
they don't watch half the show and talk through the set and yell over
Issac when he tries to talk.
And let this be a plea to all you tall fucks: I have all the
respect for tall people who get there early and block my view, that's
cool, but if you get there late and are 8 foot tall, stand in the
back asshole. and let this be an open letter to the guy in the Korn
T-shirt and his 7 foot tall girlfriend who waited behind me for half
the show, then decided that, although I'm 5'7" and they could see
over me, they just had to shove me aside and stand right in front of
me, not improving their view, yet killing any that I had. Considering
I got to the venue an hour and a half early and was one of the first
10 people at the stage, I have no respect for the fuckers who showed
up late, missed the opener, then bullied their way in front of me. MM
are one of my favorite bands ever, and it's a shame that those few
fucks could ruin a great show for me. Sorry that my letter too turned
bitter, but that really was the rudest crowd I've ever been in.

>Since no one has posted anything about the MM shows in SF, I will. I
>saw them at Great American Music Hall, and excuse me for
>complaining, the actual MM show was great. Can't list an entire set
>list for you, but they did play some songs I haven't heard before as
>well as Cowboy Dan, Dramamine, one of the Japanese EP songs, and
>some other stuff, urged everyone to salsa dance and quoted himself
>about the broken jaw thing. For some reason I really wanted to hear
>Head South, but no luck. The drumming was par excellence, I have to
>say, damn that boy can play.

>made them want to cry. I am mean! But fuck it, I didn't act like

>boy, you're astoundingly dumb.

>Non-related: Saw At The Drive in last night w/ Get Up Kids. ATDI
