Going to the Rebel Beat website never occured to me because there was
never any doubt that the EP was released by that label. It still wouldn't
solve anything. Phil already clarified what I was mistaken about -- the EP
*was* endorsed. I had heard otherwise. Another thing that had misled me
was a post by Phil himself back in February, which I'll quote;
"Epic declared that they would no longer allow the sale of the tour EP
because some of the songs were/are/have been re-recorded, and they didn't
want anyone to undermine the buying power of their newest signing. There
are publishing and copyright issues that Epic felt the need to protect, and
unfortunately that screwed the general buying public (in the USA, at least)
out of this excellent collection of songs."
This, combined with other tidbits that I had heard about the EP, led
me to the understandable conclusion that it was more of a bootleg than an
official release.
I trust that all made sense.

I'm not bitter and didn't intend to come off that way. I prefer to be
corrected when I'm misinformed. I'm sure anybody does.
>i love phil because he's a smart cookie and so should everyone else...
I'm unclear on what that has to do with anything.
>(just be lucky that he didn't say anything about his naked pictures of
your mother)
I'm unclear on what that has to do with anything.
