i just want to post this message to get everyone on the lookout for the new
album on the Internet. in the next couple weeks, when you get a chance,
start going to www.oth.net then search for "Modest Mouse the moon" or
whatever. if someone has it on an FTP site, you will be given a link. to
access the site, you need an FTP program like CuteFTP (www.Cuteftp.com,
naturally). just copy the IP address from the link onto the CuteFTP prompt,
provide the additional info, and connect. you can then download the new
album and let everyone know how it is (you still have to buy it on june 13th
tho). this will work best if you have a direct network connection like at
work or college.
last april, i heard the new Pavement about a month and a half before it came
out, and i expect to be able to get the new modest by at least mid-May,
provided my off-campus summer housing has a direct connection. i think it's
supposed to be getting it but i dont know...
Also, if any of you posters has an FTP site set up and is planning on
sharing the new album, please let us know when you do.
