Well, the critic was not on my good side in the first few sentences where
he disses Pavement, but I concede he backs up his case with points on why
he doesn't like the M&A.

Can't account for taste, yadda yadda, however...

I can't understand why anyone would take offense to covering the same ground
thematically...  it's been said that if allowed to do so, a painter would
paint the same picture over and over.  Most of our best artists have used
the same themes over and over throughout their careers whether it's art, or
fiction,
or movies, or music.  It's the so-so people who just make songs or movies
that
cater to whatever will appeal to the most people at any given time that
suck.  The good ones stick to what's inside them.

I'm 26, I've pretty much put the angst stuff behind me.. yet I still love MM
and Isaac's lyrics.  While he talks like we are all going no where, he never
alludes
to giving up or stopping.. he keeps on trucking, so to speak.  I think
that's why I like it.
