Hello everyone there,

I've been using mod_perl for some time, with nice results once I got
the hang of it. I am currently upgrading
my computers to 'the latest available', that is apache 1.3.9, mod_perl
1.21, perl 5.005.
   With previous releases (1.3.9, mod_perl 1.19, perl 5.004), everything
is ok (well, seems to).
But with this 'new' configuration, i always get errors whenever a
module I use calls a Unix command
throug backticks :

[Wed Jan 5 17:46:49 2000] null: Can't exec "pwd": Permission denied at
/usr/lib/perl5/5.00503/Cwd.pm line 82.
[Wed Jan 5 17:46:49 2000] null: Can't exec "date": Permission denied at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/Date/Manip.pm line 3178.

Any hints to what has changed on the support systems to explain this
(and how to correct that ?) ?
   Tia,
