If you could skip the whole "perl code" part you could use XML::Filter::Cache (a SAX caching filter) as a cache rather than worrying about a built in one. Sorry for getting off topic for this list though. Just trying to pass around the SAX kool aid ;-) -- <!-- Matt --> <:->Get a smart net</:->
