One more reason to get back in to the core: I'm going to call for a vote after we run as DSO and after beta 2 gets out or not. Sound OK to you guys for timing?

If you can - please - most of the hooks stuff was cut and pasted from mad_dav (as you saw), and I stopped fiddling when I saw it working (which took a frustratingly long time). Unfortunately the APR docs are incomplete and cut-and-pasted to death, so they were of little help in figuring out what was going on :(
