The way things are going, this may already be fixed. iTunes and lots of other media players have HTTP proxy settings. With iTunes, it's just the same proxy settings as for the rest of the network layer.

I don't think it will be hard, but I've thought about having it for release to give some time to look at it if we don't get it for this beta.

I've yet to determine precisely what the problem is, though it could well be HTTP connection association in the proxy between inbound and outbound connections is getting faked out.
