Jace-

No offence taken...i find your critique of the book very
interesting..if you'd like to elaborate a little more feel free to email me.

anyway, the most interesting and amusing references i've come across are found
in the sociology and psycology stacks here at school. i LOVE reading about
what the old farts think of skins, mods, etc. there was an incredibly
interesting book called something like "folk heroes and moral devils" (if
anybody has seen this book anywhere for sale, let me know!)..it was a
socilogical look at the mod movement in the 60's written by a british
psychologist who basically said they were a bunch of no-good punks..the dregs
of society, and he was trying to figure out what in society and the economy had
done to create these little heathens. GREAT pictures too, and it was just very
entertaining.

it's also great to look at the same type of books on skins...when they focus on
nazi skins..blah...they're all a bunch of losers, who cares, but when it's on
trad skins it's funny to see them disect the clothing and the violence and the
music and the relationships and the women's roles and EVERYTHING. weird stuff.
if anybody is interested in knowing some of these titles let me know because i
feel like looking them up again now....
