Why is it, then when you know you haven't any money, you still can't help
yourself from buying records? Is it a disease? Can it be cured? I think not.

So why, when in Skeggy, did I get a funny feeling in my stomach when
told that only 2 mins down the road was a geezer selling over 3k's worth of
Northern and R'n'B? Armed with my bank card, (a little tip here. never go to
the bank before hand. If there's something there you're unsure of, you'll
buy it anyway cos you've got the money to hand!!) I went in search of this
vinyl mecca. I walked away with Billy Woods - I Don't Want To Lose Your Love
(DJ) and Lucky Laws - Who Is She. I couldn't afford to spend as much as I
did on these, though they were reasonably priced and had been after them for
ages. In fact, I'd never seen ANY copy of Billy Woods before. How rare is
it? Or are people just reticent to get rid of their copies? Anyone?
It was really nice to plough through literally 1000's of records (in an
hour mind!) that I'd never heard before, getting to listen to some stuff
that I never even knew existed. That's the joy of collecting Soul though I
suppose!
Don't know why I'm posting this, but I've got to say something
or you'll all think I've left. I know you'd never be able to live with
yourselves if that happened!!! Ha HA AH Ha ha hH ahH Hah ahha a !!!!
                  As if!
                    Matt....
