Never listen to sales assistants! Even at the Merc!!!!!
I either say in an offended voice - I know my own sizes thank you very
much.... or I just walk out there and then!
Anyway............ you didn't pick it up - but Dom was being sarcastic all
along...........
I (don't have to - but will) admit to having bought stuff at the
Merc............
2 Fred's - white with blue stripe, and ice with red and black stripe........
both size 36"!!!!!!!
Funnily the ice one seems to be cut all different - it's a good fit on the
neck and has a long opening (with space for me to add a third button) - the
white one looks a bit crap (relatively speaking) - but HEY! I needed a few
summer tops....... at least they fit PERFECTLY on the chest and arms!
I also picked up a Farah shirt - which underwent serious (but cheap!)
alteration............ therefore costing a total of only 25 quid!
And lastly - my parka's Vespa/Piaggio blue/white patch comes from the Merc I
believe!!!!!!!
(Notice that I don't own any MERC brand clothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

PS. Andy must be mad!!!! Their bowling shoes - though looking reasonable -
and coming in a few different colours - are SHIT!!!
The soles are made of some weird shitty SPONGE-like material!!!!!!!
