Explain it to them detail by detail, rather than 
making it sound like you want a 60s costume - it's not 
as if, from what I've scene of contemporary Hollywood 
crime films, that it's THAT far out of fashion. 
Either that, or lie and claim you're in theatre. .

Sorry to rain on your parade on this but The Mohawks
aren't Jamaican, but British session musicians. The
keyboardist in question is Alan Hawkshaw (known for
the classic 'banger' theme for Grange Hill) - some
of his other material is available on The Sound
Gallery (easy listening compilation) and Blow
Up Volume One (similar comp) - some of the tracks
on Blow-Up Vol. One are also on The Mohawks
LP (bootlegged last year) with/without added horns.
