Something about the above statement strikes me as very odd...so what about
computers Paul...and what about being a physicist, a true mod would never
pick such a square profession.

It's a modern day convenience and certainly better than standing in a phone
booth. Part of the mod aesthetic was to take on a look of affluence. That's
hard to do while digging for a quarter while standing in a phone booth. I
am not saying that every mod should have a cell phone, but to say they are
not mod seems to be incorrect and more of a personal dogma.
