Matt - I'd have to disagree. I don't really want to drag this on because
it's talking about people who've got voices of their own BUT it doesn't
always mean POOR. When I was growing up I knew plenty of people whose Dad's
were plumbers or builders, ex-footballers or whatever, who had downstairs
(not outdoors) loos, big (well for UK) new houses, holidays in Florida, and
two new cars on the drive, but still took The Sun rather than the Daily Mail
or Guardian (an ex-paperboy speaks).

Since the 60s it's been more a matter of cultural values than wealth, and is
the anti-life of Swindon/Bracknell/Reading really what the rest of the
country should be aspiring too? Not saying you're saying that, just that
everyone wants more cash, not everyone wants to start listening to Radio
Three.
