"Barbarella" new movie

I don't recall this being discussed yet, so if it
was, I apologize.  But I recently read that some
brilliant minds in Hollywood have decided to
remake "Barbarella".  I guess they haven't learned
from "The Avengers" or "Mod Squad" (not to mention
the up-and-coming surefire flops "Charlie's
Angels" and a new "Shaft").  Nevertheless,
apparently Drew Barrymore is up for the title
role.   I just cannot picture that somehow.
