And men's clothing! I'm not arguing that, even in the '60s, Sears was at
the height of men's fashion, but most books (all that I've seen, though
I'll be the first to admit I've not seen many) on the period concentrate on
women's clothing. I do realize, of course, that this bias is only
representative of the fashion industry. It's been said before, but I feel
it bears repeating--the best place to see men's threads from "our favorite
decade" is found on the cover of jazz albums.
