very true, but you miss my point I think. I have longed made a point
about Carnaby Street where all you got was dancing to The Who and the
Stones whilst ignoring great tunes. As with Uptight this has got
better recently, perhaps because of them hearing new tunes and also
new people coming to the club. I myself didn't know that much at the
Hideway, but did enjoy dancing.
My point is if you expect to go there to experience the "ultimate
Mod experience" you will be dissapointed esp by some of the clothes
worn. Doesn't mean you won't enjoy, the people aren;t sound (their
musical taste and knowhow is second to one or that can't be classed
as Mod.
Saying that what can in 1999?
