RE:Mark Wirtz, there is a Mark Wirtz and The Mood Mosaic CD on RPM called
"The Mood Mosaic Vol. One"(not to be confused with the brilliant RPM "Mood
Mosaic Vol.2" CD which is a various artists comp.), which I found to be god
awful, dreadful and terrible bar TWO tracks ("A Touch Of Velvet A Sting Of
Brass" and the H.C.S "lights up time to get out" theme "Bond Street P.M.").
It's a light music affair with girl backing vocals and rather limp kitsch
camp treatment (this coming from a man who idolises John Barry and John
Schroeder and wants to build monuments of Alan Hawkshaw,Keith Mansfield et
al over over the U.K.). This is the only reissue of any of his "solo"(ie
"He's Our Dear Old Weatherman" etc) stuff bar inclusions on some psych comps
over the years.
RE:Wimple Winch. Sadly I'd reckon the Wimple Winch CD or lp on Bam Caruso is
damn near scare property in the U.S. I bought my CD version in Philly at
Third Street Jazz back in '93 or '94! I haven't seen it since so getting it
from Amazon U.K is probably your only option.
